Terms and Conditions

General Terms and Conditions of Panství Bechyně s.r.o.

These General Terms and Conditions (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms and Conditions") govern the legal relationship between Panství Bechyně s.r.o. (hereinafter referred to as the "Provider") and the customer (hereinafter referred to as the "Client") in connection with the reservation of venues and the organization of one-time events held at the Provider's premises in Bechyně or Černická Obora.

These General Terms and Conditions apply to all venue rentals, weddings, corporate events and other events organised by Panství Bechyně s.r.o., unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Provider's Obligations

Following an initial enquiry or expression of interest by the Client, the Provider and the Client shall preliminarily agree on the scope of the requested services. The Provider will subsequently prepare and submit a price quotation.

Upon receipt of the required deposit, the Provider undertakes to reserve the agreed venue exclusively for the Client on the agreed date.

Deposits and Cancellation Policy

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the reservation of the agreed venue and services becomes binding upon payment of the non-refundable initial deposit.

The initial deposit is:

  • CZK 20,000 for weddings and other events,
  • CZK 5,000 for wedding ceremonies only.

The deposit shall be deemed paid once the corresponding amount has been credited to the Provider's bank account.

Following payment of the initial deposit, both parties shall proceed without undue delay to sign the final Venue Rental and Event Services Agreement.

Should the Client fail to sign the agreement within 14 days of paying the initial deposit for reasons attributable to the Client, the Provider shall consider the Client to have withdrawn from the reservation.

In such case, the initial deposit shall be retained by the Provider as a contractual cancellation fee and no further administrative or financial action shall be required.

Second Deposit

The second deposit must be paid no later than 30 days prior to the scheduled event date.

The total amount of the deposits paid by that date, including the initial deposit of CZK 20,000 (or CZK 5,000 in the case of a ceremony only), shall equal 90% of the preliminary event budget, including venue rental and all agreed services.

The remaining 10% shall be invoiced after the event and must be paid within 14 days of the event date.

The Client may alternatively settle the entire preliminary budget in a single payment at least 30 days before the event.

Cancellation Fees

Should the Client cancel the event:

  • more than three months before the scheduled event date, the cancellation fee shall equal the non-refundable initial deposit (CZK 20,000 or CZK 5,000);
  • less than three months before the scheduled event date, the cancellation fee shall equal 90% of the preliminary event budget.

The Client expressly agrees that the Provider is entitled to retain the applicable cancellation fee without any further administrative procedures.

Exceptional Circumstances

Any payments received from the Client shall be refunded in full if the cancellation is caused by serious circumstances beyond the Client's reasonable control, including but not limited to:

  • sudden serious illness,
  • death of a close family member,
  • or other events constituting force majeure.

Likewise, all payments received shall be refunded in full if the Provider is unable to fulfil the agreement due to force majeure or for reasons attributable to the Provider.

Accommodation Services

Accommodation services booked in addition to the venue rental are governed by the Provider's Accommodation Terms and Conditions.

Accommodation reservations become confirmed upon payment of 50% of the total accommodation price.

Further information is available under the Price List section for each accommodation facility on the Provider's website.

Final Settlement

The final settlement of the event, based on the agreed preliminary budget and including any compensation for damages caused during the event, shall be completed immediately after the event, but no later than 14 days after the event date.

The outstanding balance shall be payable by the due date stated on the final invoice.

If payment is not received by the due date, the Provider shall charge statutory late payment interest from the first day following the invoice due date, in accordance with the applicable legislation of the Czech Republic.
